Do you ever go on Pinterest and find the cutest outfit, you think ....that would be perfect for work, I'm going to buy it. Then, you click on the link and.... HOLY PRICE TAGS BATMAN, there is no way I'm paying that much, and then close the page and go eat some ice cream. Me too! Recently I have been trying to find the outfits myself cheaper. The internet is filled with a million shopping malls, and as a woman I vow to take full advantage of that. Here is one of my favorite summer outfits that I found: Cute! Right! And then I saw this: I was like..... I can, uh, afford, the bracelets, yup. So, on the verge on closing the computer and getting some ice cream, I got my Sherlock Holmes hat on and investigated instead. Here's what I found: Find the shirt at Gap Find the pants at H & M Find the shoes at DSW Find the clutch at NoMoreRack Find the bangles at Amazon Pinterest Look= $870.00 Sorta Courtney Look= $93.87 And for that beautiful waterfall braid: When I was four my parents put me in dance class. First, I started out in ballet and went on to jazz, tumbling, and tap. I loved it. I met some great friends and learned some valuables health lessons. As the years went on I stopped going to dance three times and week and started going to parties and friend's house. I would still dance in front of my mirror at home (you all did it too) and at school dances, but my dancing dwindled. So, more years went by and I kinda stopped dancing (I mean except in front of my mirror at home). I'm now 31 and realize that my body has become a bit older and stiffer. I do that grunt thing when I get up from the couch, ughh. My jeans are a little tighter and my arm does this weird jiggle jaggle thing. I'm not over weight, but I don't want to be, I would like to stay somewhat fit. So, I dance.... Ever heard of Zumba? It's dancing and working out, perfect for me. So I started searching for videos on the internet. I found some great work outs, but I did them once or became bored. I like to dance and listen to the beat and rhythm of a song I know and then burst into dance. I finally came across Lauren Fitz's version of PitBull ft. Ke$ha..... Timber. I knew the song already and really liked it. I immediately got hooked. I started looking for more of her Zumba dances, and luckily I found a bunch (and she keeps adding them :) So I wanted to share my new favorite Lauren Fitz Zumba dance. I hope she gets you up and pumped too! She reconnected me to my dance roots and now I'm working off that jiggle jaggle. Enjoy! So...I have been into social media since after MySpace. Recently, I have become more and more curious about the idea of having my own blog. I finally decided to do it! So....this is my very first post. I plan on posting about anything I feel is sorta me. If I could describe my self in a few words it would be: comfy, classic, and creative. So anything I post should have some sort or those qualities.
I always see recipes on Pinterest that I would like to try, tutorials on YouTube that I want everyone to see, and awesome crafts that I want to get lost it. This blog is going to be my journey through all the awesome things I am going to experience and make and the failures that will probably happen too. |
