Have you heard about this new nail polish that can detect if your drink has been tampered with? I remember reading a story a while back that someone had invented a "stick" that you could dip into a drink and it will tell you if it was drugged. I thought that is a great idea, but it might a little weird to perform such a test without looking suspicious. "Don't mind me I'm going to dip this stick in here for a moment" or try the awkward turn and dip. But, college students Tyler Confrey-Maloney, Stephen Gray, Ankesh Madan and Tasso Von Windheim, who met studying at North Carolina State University, created something amazing.
The polish — called “Undercover Colors” — will change shades if it becomes exposed to a drugged drink. Walk away from your drink at a party? Look away from your solo cup for a second? Simply dip your finger in the liquid. If the polish changes colors, you’ll know not to keep sipping.
The four are raising money for a better prototype of Undercover Colors through a donations page.
